My Background. |
Why Middle School? |
My name is Audrey Nelson. I am originally from Germantown Hills and have grown up around the area my whole life. I graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Middle Level Education with my endorsements in Mathematics and Language Arts. While at Illinois State, I was president of my social sorority my freshman and sophomore year and held several other leadership positions throughout my four years at school. I was also on the Dean's List for several semesters. This is going to be my third year at CJHS, and I found it to be the perfect place to be!
While at Central Junior High School, I find myself very busy. The past couple of years here I have been one of the cosponsor of student council, the coach of the dance team and a lunch and a detention monitor. |
Most people, when asked what my major was, thought I was crazy for wanting to work with junior high students. My response was this is the best age group! It is such an impactful group to work with, but they are also fun. I have learned through my teaching experiences that not only do I impact the students' lives, but they impact mine in a large way as well! I look forward to getting to know your students and working with them for the 2019-2020 school year!
